Dear Student and Parent,

7th grade computers is a semester class primarily designed as a general introduction to computers. Topics we will be covering include, keyboarding, word processing, Hyperstudio, spreadsheets, computer graphics, PowerPoint, and the Internet.

Grading - Grades in this class will be awarded on the basis of points earned by completing a variety of assignments relating to our major topics. Students will receive a point chart which they will keep in their notebooks. The point chart contains a complete list of all the projects we will be doing each quarter. Each time the student completes an activity or a quiz they will receive a certain number of points. Students will be required to keep their point chart in their notebooks at all times so that parents can constantly monitor their progress. Please note that this may be your only notification of unsatisfactory progress. Students who get behind or who need additional practice may come after school on Thursdays.
